I was really pleased to be back on BBC Two's Working Lunch on Thursday 27th May 2010, commenting on the coalition government's proposals for welfare reform.

The Secretary of State, Iain Duncan Smith, has called for an end to the culture of welfare dependency, saying that,

'A system that was originally designed to help support the poorest in society is now trapping them in the very condition it was supposed to alleviate. Instead of helping, a deeply unfair benefits system too often writes people off'

IncomeMAX are very much in favour of welfare reform and we hope that the government will consult with experts that already support people to understand their benefits and tax credits so that a sustainable, sensible, clearer and fairer system is established.
